The purpose of this course is to enable the learner to understand and apply the basic principles, models and concepts of human communication.
The learner will be introduced to
human communication; oral communication; written communication; non-verbal
communication; listening and reading skills that help in day- to -day interactions in their environment. The learner should be able to appreciate the important role communication plays in human "communal" life in the modern world then be able to apply the appropriate skill in his or her interaction with others.

Purpose of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable the student to:
· Undertake behaviour change for protection against HIV Infection
· Understand HIV/ AIDS education as a means to a larger end of producing a better more integrated sense of health education to the student
· Be motivated to adopt a healthy lifestyle that ensures sustained good health through the lifespan.
· Be conversant with ways of de-stigmatizing People Living With HIV/AIDS
